  Shatika is a potent ayurvedic drug that counters the allergic process. In addition, it alleviates cough, relieves swelling and pain, dilates the constricted air passages, relieves the spasm, and counters the bacteria.

  Madhuyashti (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

  Madhuyashti is an effective anti-allergic. In addition, it alleviates swelling, too.

  Zaharmohra (Serpentine)

  Zaharmohra is an effective medicine to counter the toxic substances in the body, including those produced during the allergic response. Zaharmohra is anti-allergic (vishapaha) and immunomodulator (bala-vardhaka).

  Yashad (Zinc)

  Like many other tissues and organs zinc (Yashad) is vital for the health and well-being of the hair and skin. Yashad helps regeneration of tissues (dhatu-kshaya-hara) and modulates immunity (rasapinda-vikriti-nashaka).

  Dosage:

  • Adults: (i) Acute allergy ‐ 2 tabs stat, followed by 1‐2 tabs, every 2‐3 hours, until relief in the symptoms or a maximum of 12 tablets in 24 hours; (ii) Chronic allergy ‐ 2 tabs tid. Taper off on improvement.

  • Maintenance dose‐ 1 tab od/bd.

  • Children (6‐9 yrs): 1⁄4‐1⁄2 of the adult dose, in crushed form.

  • To be taken just after meals.

  Precautions:

  Avoid during pregnancy, or hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, especially the sulphur.
