🌿 About Ksheerabala 101 Avarthi Thailam
Ksheerabala 101 Avarthi Thailam is a classical Ayurvedic medicated oil where sesame oil is repeatedly processed 101 times (a process called Avarthana) with Bala (Sida cordifolia) and Ksheera (cow’s milk) — this repeated infusion is believed to potentiate the herbal effects deeply into the oil base.
🍃 Traditional Uses
-
Balances Vata dosha — calms dryness, stiffness and nerve‑related imbalances.
-
Musculoskeletal support — traditionally used for joint pain, stiffness, arthritis, sciatica and spondylosis.
-
Nervous system nourishment — may help with nerve weakening, muscular weakness, and loss of function.
-
Pain relief & lubrication — supports deep tissue comfort and mobility in degenerative joints.
-
Headache & stress — in some traditional contexts, external application is used to relieve migraine‑type headaches or stress‑related discomfort.
This formulation is intensely Vata‑hara (Vata‑pacifying) due to the strong action of Bala and the nourishing property of milk in the oil.
🧴 Key Ingredients (Typical)
-
Sesame oil (base) — penetrates tissues deeply.
-
Bala (Sida cordifolia) — strength‑giving and Vata‑balancing herb.
-
Ksheera (cow’s milk) — nourishing and cooling base.
