Prapoundarikadi Thailam is a classical Ayurvedic oil described in the Ashtanga Hridaya. Prepared in a sesame oil base with herbs including Prapaundarika (Saccharum officinarum), Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Chandana (Santalum album), and Madhuka (Glycyrrhiza glabra). Traditionally used for external head and scalp application.
