• Base Oil: Sesame oil (Sesamum indicum) or coconut oil (Cocos nucifera)

• Key Herbs:

  • Panchavalkala: A combination of barks from five Ficus species—Ficus bengalensis (Vata), Ficus religiosa (Aswatta), Ficus racemosa (Udumbara), Ficus lacor (Plaksha), and Ficus arnottiana (Parisha)—known for their cleansing properties.

  • Nisha: Turmeric (Curcuma longa)

  • Gopi: Indian sarsaparilla (Hemidesmus indicus)

  • Rambha: Coconut stem (Cocos nucifera)

  • Kamala: Lotus (Nelumbum speciosum)

  • Utpala: Blue water lily (Nymphaea stellata)

  • Madhuka: Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

  • Twak: Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum)

  • Sevya: Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanoides)

  • Abhaya: Indian gooseberry (Terminalia chebula)

  • Chandana: Sandalwood (Santalum album)
