🪴 About Asana Eladi Thailam

What it is: A classical Ayurvedic medicated oil (tailam) with herbal, mineral, and aromatic components infused in a nourishing base. It’s used predominantly for external application.

Traditional benefits & uses:

• Supports healthy, soft and radiant skin, especially dull or dry skin. 

• Helps soothe itching, rashes, minor skin irritation, and inflammatory skin complaints arising from Kapha-Pitta imbalance.

• Can be used as part of Abhyanga (body massage) to calm the nervous system and stimulate circulation.

• Often recommended for mild headaches, ear/eye discomfort, and sinus/catarrh symptoms when applied gently on the head region.

How it’s used:

• External massage: Warm slightly and apply to the body or affected area. Massage for ~15–20 min for best results.

• Localized care: Apply to areas of dryness, chafing, or itching.

• Head/temple use: A small dab on temples or scalp may provide soothing effects and help ease tension.

Ingredients (typical formulation):

• Ela (Cardamom) – aromatic, helps with nourishment.

• Twak (Cinnamon) – antimicrobial, warming.

• Jatamansi & Tagara – calming for nerves and soothing.

• Nagakesar & Kumkuma – skin-beneficial herbs that help rejuvenate and refresh.

• Sesame or coconut oil base – deeply nourishing and moisturizing.
