🧠 What Kshar Tail / Kshara Thailam Is Used For
Kshar Tail (क्षार तैल / Kshara Thailam) is an Ayurvedic herbal oil infused with kshara (alkaline herbal ash extracts). It’s traditionally used externally (topical application) in Ayurveda for conditions such as:
✔ Comforting external anorectal discomforts like piles (arsha), fissures, fistula — soothing pain, swelling and irritation when applied locally.
✔ Supporting wound/burn care and healing due to its cleansing and antibacterial effects.
✔ Gentle cleansing of local irritated tissue and reducing itching.
✔ Helps soften hardened tissue and support recovery in chronic superficial conditions.
Kshar means alkali, and in Ayurvedic medicine this refers to alkaline herbal extracts (often from plants like apamarga or other ash‑rich herbs). These are incorporated into an oil base (like sesame) to create kshar taila — useful in moistening, softening and cleansing local tissues when applied externally.
⚠️ Safety & Usage
✔ For external use only. Do not ingest.
✔ Apply a small amount directly to the affected area with a clean applicator.
✔ If you’re using it on sensitive or irritated skin, patch test first.
✔ Consult a qualified Ayurvedic doctor or physician before regular use — especially if you have chronic or severe conditions.
